Admission Policies & Procedures

Milestone: Rising seniors looking to understand the admission process and apply to colleges.

Acquire the skills & resources to:

  • Prepare college applications and make admission decisions

  • Gain a better understanding about standardized testing and when they should be taken.

  • Write powerful college essays, a personal statement, and activities resume

  • Understand the importance of the high school transcript and interviews and what role counselor and teacher recommendations play

  • Be familiar with College Admission trends

  • Know the school policies regarding discipline disclosure, class rank, etc.

  • Figure out the difference between a wholistic review and automatic admission policy; and application plans such as: early decision I & II, early action, regular decision, rolling, and priority.

Application Bootcamp

An intensive 5-8 session class for rising high school seniors. It can be conducted in-person or remotely. 

Acquire the skills & resources to:

  • Develop an application strategy & timeline – including the organization of college applications, teacher recommendations, and essays to maximize your chance of acceptance.

  • Complete the online Common Application – each application will be professionally reviewed and critiqued.

  • Review the top ten college essay mistakes and get personal insight & advice to create outstanding essays 

  • Construct a meaningful activity resume by develop a formatted resume that highlights your involvements and experiences.

  • Parent Q & A Session - Receive expert tips & strategies (usually final class).
